I had such a wonderful experience vintage shopping with Mina and Yasu from Wabisabi Antiques. I bought two fabulous (and very large) ceramic vases from this store. The shipping time was 6 days to me in the United States and the vases arrived in perfect condition and were packaged really well. Their photos and descriptions of my vases were accurate, and the pieces are indeed authentic one-of-a-kind vintage, not mass produced. Overall, I had a very positive experience with Wabisabi Antiques and would recommend them to anyone looking to bring a touch of vintage Japanese beauty to their homes, no matter where in the world you happen to live.

The hand-selected quality of the singing bowl is simply superb. The sound is deep, resonant, and transcends time and space. But at least as impressive is the cushion with its Kiku-Karakusa embroidery; it lends the ensemble a noble, luxurious touch, perfectly complemented by the elegantly shaped mallet. A premium item, typical of the entire WabiSabiAntique range – an absolute recommendation, 100 out of 10!

I cannot recommend Wabisabi Antiques highly enough. The entire process of dealing with Mina and Yasu was a pleasure from start to finish. Communication was warm, courteous, efficient and professional. They were attentive to my questions and prompt with all responses, helping me navigate the process of shipping from Japan to the US seamlessly. The pieces I bought are absolutely beautiful and were shipped incredibly fast, arriving just 5 or 6 days after I ordered them. They were expertly packaged with a minimum of plastic and arrived in perfect condition, and I paid no import duties. The best part was the innermost wrappings of the shoin - they were wrapped with the incredible care and aesthetic sensitivity for which the Japanese are so deservedly renowned and I had to sit with it untouched for several minutes in a state of quiet admiration before I could bring myself to remove it! Undoubtedly one of the most authentic and professional purveyors of Japanese antiques on the internet, you will be hard pressed to find a better source for your purchase.

What a pleasure working with Mina & Yasu. They are responsive, kind, and answered my questions. They sent a recording of the bell, so I could feel comfortable making a purchasing decision. They kept me informed about the shipping conditions and the bell arrived promptly, with a week of purchase. In addition, they took great care in packaging each piece. I was so happy to receive and invite the bell. The sound is lovely and as advertised.

I just received a Lovely Japanese Bizen Ware Tokkuri from Wabi Sabi Antiques in Japan. It arrived by DSL and the entire transaction went smoothly. I can hardly believe that it was delivered today, because I just ordered it a few days ago. Predictably, it was EXPERTLY wrapped and protected from any possible issues or concerns which might arise during shipping. The vintage bamboo Sudare blind exceeded my expectations. It was professionally and meticulously wrapped in such great detail. It was wrapped in Japanese silk cloth, calligraphy paper and colorful string. I was wrapped like it was my Birthday present. It arrived super fast and packed very well to prevent any damage. I highly recommend WabiSabi antiques. Look no further.
